Alzheimer’s Disease: Creating a Better Life Through Art

ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE: Creating a better life through art

A panel discussion at UMMA

Few have been left untouched by the scourge of dementia. Perhaps it is thoughts about a friend, grandparent, parent, or even self-worry that creeps into our hearts and minds from time to time with respect to this debilitating disease.  University of Maine Museum of Art has embraced this timely topic in its upcoming exhibition, featuring Jason Bard Yarmosky’s tender but vastly larger than life paintings of his grandmother.  The UMMA exhibition will be open from May 19, through Sept 2, 2017.  Admission is free thanks to Deighan Wealth Advisors 2017 admission underwriting.

Also free of charge, through the generosity of St Joseph Healthcare,  is an interesting panel discussion at UMMA on Thursday evening, May 25, from 6-8PM.  The panel features area health professionals and is entitled: ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE: Creating a better life through art.  For more information, visit UMMA’s website at: www.umma.umaine.edu

We hope to see you there.
