BANGOR – A well-known Bangor wealth management firm is under new ownership.  Deighan Wealth Advisors, a member of the Bangor business community for 25 years, has been purchased by three community leaders.  Deighan team members Lucie Estabrook and Jenifer Butler have been joined by local attorney Jennifer Eastman to continue and grow the firm’s legacy.

“This transition will be seamless for our clients. They will continue to experience the excellent service for which our firm is known,” said Butler, who co-founded the firm with Deighan in 1994 and will continue as Chief Investment Officer. “Jean will still be here, and we will still focus on personalized, thoughtful financial advice and planning, and strong involvement in the community, especially around the arts. That’s the foundation upon which Deighan Wealth Advisors was built, and that foundation remains as solid today as it was 25 years ago.”

Lucie Estabrook joined the firm in 2010 and will be the company’s Chief Executive Officer. “We have an exciting future at Deighan. We are assembling a team that is dedicated to carrying on and expanding the legacy that Jean Deighan began building 25 years ago,” said Estabrook. “We will continue to focus on the best outcomes for our clients, on helping them live their best lives and providing them with thoughtful financial advice. We are thrilled that Jean will remain an integral part of our team. We are fortunate to have someone with Jean’s commitment and integrity as our mentor and guide. Our commitment to the Greater Bangor community through board service and other contributions remains a high priority.”

Attorney Jennifer Eastman recently joined the firm from Rudman Winchell in Bangor and will serve as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer.  “I have had the pleasure of working alongside the Deighan team for years as an attorney,” said Eastman. “I’m so pleased to now join this team in wealth management, who is committed to their clients and their community, and maintaining the legacy Jean has built.”

The closing on the transition of the business took place on February 15. Deighan Wealth Advisors will remain in its current location at 455 Harlow Street in Bangor. Jean Deighan was the recipient of the Norbert X. Dowd Award from the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce in 2018, recognizing “a member of the business community whose commitment of time, resources and talent has made the Bangor region a better place to pursue one’s livelihood and dreams.” Deighan was also named in 2018 as one of 50 Mainers “Balancing Heritage and Progress” by Maine Magazine.
